The ToughCat range of semi-displacement catamaran workboats are ideal for heavy duty tasks where a turn of speed is required. The hull shape is developed to give a soft motion in wilder weather while providing a stable and expansive working platform. Vessels built include 10m, 12m and 16m versions which have been chartered for survey work, towing, Windfarm support and pilot duties.
The Ocean Cat is fitted with compressor, fire fighting monitor, deck crane, fuel bunkering tanks and transfer pumps, moon pool and stern A frame. There are not many roles which she cannot undertake for a vessel of her class.
The full build and fit out was carried out by Mooney Boats and survey by the Irish MSO and Bureau Veritas. She is also coded as and MCA workboat Category 2.
